Passion in seeing that the Games are successful and beneficial to all of Kentucky is our reason why we are doing this and seeking the support of others. I would ask first and foremost that you support the Games and help your local community to find ways to benefit from them even if you do not support our organization directly. Some of us involved with this organization will end up volunteering out at the Horse Park to help. So if you want to volunteer there the link is http://www.feigames2010.org/get_involved/.

We are not trying to raise money for the stadium or for the general operation of the Games as that is going to be nearly a $100 million endeavor. Having companies like Alltech step up and put forth $10 million helps but ultimately the burden of funding these games will fall to the State, which means the citizen’s tax money. We do hope to raise awareness and the stature of these games amongst other Kentucky companies that will then step up and also help sponsor the Games. Our primary goal in our fund raising efforts to give us the means to promote the games to the citizens and business interest of Kentucky as well to work with business and citizens in all 120 counties in the State to develop the means to benefit from these Games. The success of these Games is dependent on a three sided partnership between State/Local Government, Business and the Citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

We are not directly affiliated with either the World Games 2010 Foundation, Inc or with the commission the Governor appointed in December to promote the games. However we will always seek to support and work with these two groups to support the Games for the benefit of Kentucky.

What is your relation to the official Organizing Committee, the World Games 2010 Foundation? Why are you trying to raise money for the stadium and execution of the games? The state is supplying the money for the stadium and the OC is obtaining sponsors to operate and execute the games. I am not sure why we should support your efforts.
